Avocado, one of the great commercial values ​​of Mexico

The Mexican avocado industry currently represents one of the country’s great commercial and export values.

According to data from Sagarpa, Mexico satisfies 100 percent of avocado imports from Guatemala; 95.4 percent of Canada; 92.72 percent of Japan; 91 percent of the United States and 90.3 percent of El Salvador.

The United States continues to be the main customer, with the purchase of 80 percent of the national product, Michoacán being the only Mexican state with authorization and certification to export to that country.
